Some (Six) Six-word "Short Stories"

"Flash Fiction" Attempts
  • Perpetually radioactive: a town long deserted.
  • Free money: not earned, not wanted.
  • Found: Top secret government security protocols.
  • Swimmer on surface, disappearance, then redness.
  • Crash! Four walls collapse, floors follow.
  • Zero percent, screen turns off, frustration.

  1. The second one I especially like in that it can be applied to so many different topics, like corruption or illegal trades.

  2. Your sentences seem very dark and depressing, especially the final one, I enjoy thinking about the rest of the iceberg for each one.

  3. The story of the swimmer actually made me gasp. I like how you alluded to blood and death, but very subtly so the reader can make the connection.
